EP278: This is Part 2 of my 4 part series on the 4 agreements I learned about in the book "The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide To Personal Freedom" by Don Miguel Ruiz.

This episode covers the 2nd agreement which is: Don't take anything personally.

It's a powerful concept and one which I can honestly say is something I know I've struggled with on social media as a social media influencer who is very open and public with her opinions and thoughts that I know some don't agree with.

This agreement is one I plan to follow going forward because I know it will eliminate the fear of judgment that creeps into my psyche when I do make posts that trigger negative reactions by some.

Just one negative comment can send me into a tailspin for the day!

But now all I need to do is remember this agreement I'm committing to, and no matter what someone may say, do not take it personally. It's not about me at all. It's about them and the programming they've had that drives their thoughts, beliefs and feelings.

I hope hearing this 2nd agreement gives you a new perspective which helps you think differently about how the words of others affect you and the power you have to change that.

The Magical Midlife Shift of a Horse Whisperer, with Lindsay de Swart

EP276: This week’s guest is Lindsay de Swart, a Shamanic Coach, Energy Medicine Practitioner, Life Coach, Hypnotherapist, and Horse Whisperer, who has worked with women for 17 years to help them rekindle their 'inner spark' and gain courage to live their next chapter fully.

Lindsay recently relocated from Canada back to England where she is from. She’s a mom to 3 teenagers, loves outdoor adventures, and loves coaching women and horses, helping them to heal themselves and each other!

Lindsay and I talked about:

How her Shamanic coaching practice unfolded so serendipitously.
How her horse Penny came into her life and taught her what she needed to know to become a Horse Whisperer.
How she uses horses to get information about what’s going on with her clients.
Our shared love of horses and the tv show (that my husband and I are now watching) that inspired her to become a Horse Whisperer.

Lindsay got into personal development as a way to break generations of depression in her family. What she learned in the process is that she didn't have to be a victim of depression or other mental health issues and that she could live differently. So during 2020, at age 50, she dove into a whole new chapter of growth and deepened her training with energy medicine studies and Shamanic coaching.

She hopes to encourage you to approach areas of your life that you’ve been glossing over as that is where the treasure lies.

EP275: I recently listened to a book on Audible that was very impactful to me, so much so that I decided to share nuggets from it on my podcast as a 4 part series. The book is called "The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide To Personal Freedom" by Don Miguel Ruiz.

I decided to separate the nuggets into 4 separate episodes because I believe each is important enough to dedicate an episode to. This episode covers the first agreement and it is a powerful one.

EP274: My guest this week is Moshe Amsel, the host of the Profit with Law Podcast and the Law Firm Growth Summit, Moshe helps law firm owners grow their practice with a focus on creating generational wealth. As a married, loving husband and father of 6 children, ranging in age from a baby to 22 years old, he is very familiar with the struggles of running a successful business and prioritizing his family.

Moshe has 20 years experience in the IT industry as a business executive, with extensive experience in Sales and Marketing, having closed over $30 million in sales in a single year. In addition to Profit with Law, Moshe also owns an accounting practice, DreamBuilder Financial, where he helps clients with business advisory and tax strategy services.

In this episode, Moshe and I talked about:

How he got his first computer job and what that job taught him as he became confident in his skills.
Why he became a paramedic and continues to do the work part time.

[JFDI #8] Being With My College Besties

EP273: This month’s “Just Friggin’ Do It” episode was recorded right after my weekend with my college besties when I was still feeling so energized and filled up with love from being with people who get me like no one else. They are my soul sisters.

I’ve known these women since the late 70s when we all met at Old Dominion University in Virginia. My connection with each of them was instant from the get-go, and although we’ve been through many ups and downs as we’ve navigated our different lives with spouses and raising children, we’ve managed to be better for it and love and understand each other on an even deeper level.

In this episode, I share the 3 key things that these friends give to me and why I believe these things are what we should look for in the people we surround ourselves with.

I hope you have your own soul sisters in your life, and if you do, when was the last time you saw them? If not recently, don't you think it's time to just friggin' do it?

And if you're realizing you don't have friends like this, who lift you up and support and encourage you, then don't you think it's time to go friggin' find some?!?! It doesn't matter how old you are, new connections can come at any age. All you have to do is be open to receiving them!

EP270: This week’s interview is with Loa Blasucci, author, nutritionist, content creator, and energy medicine practitioner. Loa began in the entertainment industry as a Hollywood makeup artist, which was a fabulous learning experience and gave her the knowledge necessary to do what she is doing now. She has an incredibly deep understanding of women, and it’s a gift that she holds sacred.

Loa learned her gifts as an etheric clairvoyant later in life and these gifts have given her the chance to help women as they go through life changes, whether they are dealing with emotional or physical issues. She now facilitates a comprehensive healing process for her clients by helping them release anxiety and balance their energy so they are able to find their inner beauty.

In this episode, Loa and I talked about:

her life as a Hollywood makeup artist and what she learned along the way that helped her to uncover her true gifts.
her perspective on what living a not-your-average-life means.
the importance of managing your hormones so your energy and health won’t be negatively impacted.
what reverse aging is and how she practices it weekly with her following on social media.

Loa believes that all of our experience radiates out in our energy field. Her specialty is chakra balance which improves immune function and slows down the aging process. She also does face yoga classes where she combines facial exercises with breath and chakra balance - and it’s this energy work that really makes a difference for her clients.

Loa believes: “you can manage your own energy… you don't have to have anxiety and you are more beautiful than you may realize.”

The Lesson In Connecting With Others

EP269: This past week I learned about 2 Facebook pages and 2 Facebook groups that are great places to connect with women over 50!

So if you are my age or even a bit younger - a Gen Xer (born between 1965 and 1980) or a Baby Boomer (born between 1946 and 1964) - you may want to check them out.

If you're not on Facebook, you're out of luck. But, if you were on Facebook and left, these groups may be worth going back because they are great virtual spaces where you can interact with women that have a lot in common with you. And you might even meet someone that doesn't live far from you who you can connect with in person!

Listen in as I give a little lesson about the difference between a Facebook profile, a page and a group and what each is used for, explain how to find these particular pages and groups, and share some of the the interesting discussions that are happening in these groups.
