How To Go From Anger To Enlightenment: The 4 As
Friday Jun 26, 2020
Friday Jun 26, 2020
EP38: In this episode I share my perspective on how to use your consciousness to get past a trigger. I identify the 4 As, as I call them (Aware, Analyze, Accept, and Advance), to describe the different stages you need to move through to learn and grow from your triggers.
And I also get into consciousness vs. unconsciousness and explain how our ego is simply the aspect of our human experience whose main goal is to keep us safe but which actually ends up keeping us stuck. Awareness is the first step in keeping the ego from holding us back from progress.

The 3 Reasons Why I Left Network Marketing To Pursue My Own Business
Thursday Jun 18, 2020
Thursday Jun 18, 2020
EP36: In this episode, I share the three biggest reasons I left my network marketing business to do my own thing.
I was in the network marketing space for 4.5 years and was a top performer, usually among the top 3 on our team every month, but I ended up burnt out and unhappy, because I was working hard for little income AND I was limited in the way I wanted to help people. Once I realized that, in order to do what I truly wanted, I had to go outside of that space, so I broke free and created exactly what I wanted.
I have no regrets, except wishing I'd cut the cord sooner! I learned a ton, gained confidence in the online format of business ownership, and got very clear on my deeper purpose - my why.
So if you are struggling in the network marketing space, putting in a ton of effort for little financial reward, and feeling limited in the way you truly want to help people, I want you to know there is a better way! If you take a step back and really look at the challenges you've faced with a different lens, I hope you see them as gifts because they are turning you towards something different - a path of greater impact. So perhaps it's time for you to step into your deeper purpose...
If this episode resonates with you, I encourage you to take action now and get to work on creating your own unique, heart-centered business.
"The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why"

EP35: Today's guest is Sunny Megatron, an expert in the sexuality and relationship field. She's one of the most recognized sexologists in North America, host and executive producer of a Showtime TV series, founder of the American Sex podcast, and has been recognized by Cosmo, Playboy, Buzzfeed, Playgirl Magazine for her work.
The story on how she managed to find her grand purpose and calling has been a tough road and is nothing but heartbreaks and abuse. It started when she lost her job of 17 years due to recession, followed by a break up of a long term relationship from an abusive partner.
Those challenges opened her eyes to the taboo subjects that everybody seem to avoid and be uncomfortable talking about, which led her to follow her true calling and pursue an unusual path as both an explorer and educator, opening up candid conversations about sex.
This interview is unlike any other I've done, because it exposes a very unusual career, but it definitely fits the bill as a Not Your Average Lives story. It may be uncomfortable for some due to the taboo nature of sex in this country - I know I was quite a bit squirmy in my seat while talking to her, not knowing where the conversation was going to go! But it goes to show you that any career is possible. If it's a topic that fascinates you, figure out how to make it into something you can do every day!

EP33: Sandy Viteri migrated from Venezuela and moved to the US when she was 18 without even knowing how to speak the English language. Nevertheless, the language barrier and the cultural differences did not stop her from pursuing her goals. Her journey led her from waitress to Vice President of Global Marketing for a multi-million dollar company.
Despite her hard work and efforts, she herself laid off from her job two years ago. But with her innate drive, natural positivity and extensive experience in marketing, she decided to launch her own company.
But as she saw that Marketing didn't really light her up, she decided to research alternative business ideas and now she teaches entrepreneurs how market their brands using video podcasting. Sandy, of course, also has her own podcast.

EP32: Do you believe in the afterlife? Have you ever had a personal encounter from someone you love who has died? If you could communicate with a loved one who has passed, who would that be? And do you even believe that would be possible?
If you think this is a bit crazy, maybe today's episode will change your mind because my guests have a fantastic story to share, It's actually a tragic story of a life-ending illness that took a beautiful soul too soon, but it's also a story of love & peace, as you will soon find out.
My guests today are Jocelyn Montanaro and Catherine Weissenberg, who co-authored the book, Beyond Ever After .This book is the story of Kevin, Jocelyn's husband, and his end of life journey, and Catherine's & Jocelyn's experiences "connecting" with him over his last few weeks.
Jocelyn is a lawyer with a natural feistiness and strong-will, who was lucky to marry the love of her life: kind & caring Kevin. When Kevin fell ill, they were on their last day of a amazing Hawaiian vacation and she was feeling like she was living her best life when her husband had a seizure in their hotel room and was rushed to the hospital where he received the worst possible diagnosis of a deadly form of brain cancer.
Her relationship with Catherine, begins a bit later, after Kevin's 2nd brain surgery, when he has been in a coma for about a month,
As Jocelyn is facing many decisions, sleeping by Kevin's side, feeling exhausted and at her wit's end, her sister, who knows of Catherine, and her amazing gift of being able to talk to God, convinces Jocelyn to set up a call with Catherine.
Jocelyn, being a total skeptic and non-believer, went into her first session with Catherine, assuming it would be her last, and thinking it was hocus-pocus, but she learned very quickly that Catherine IS special and was dumbfounded as things came up in this first session that only Kevin could have known.
With her gift, Catherine is able to access the stream of universal consciousness and transforms that energy into prose, which she calls "a reading."
It is a fascinating story and I promise, if you are open, you will be changed by listening to it.

More about the authors:
For several decades, Catherine Weissenberg has been sharing her unique ability to communicate and dialogue with God, the deceased, and coma patients. To retain a lasting record of these communications, Catherine writes the conversations longhand as they occur, calling them “Writings.” Although intimate to the recipient, the Writings are beautiful in their imagery and metaphor, often involving universal themes of self-growth, interpersonal relationships and life challenges. She is grateful to serve others by facilitating the transmission of spirit, wisdom, and healing energy. Using God Writings from retreat settings, Catherine has created the concept of Loveality® as a love-based approach to living and experiencing reality. She offers
Loveality workshops, books and cards. For more about the transformative energy of the Writings, please visit loveality.net.
About Jocelyn Montanaro
Jocelyn has spent most of her life in California, but was educated on the East Coast and in Europe. She has a bachelor’s degree in International Studies and a law degree. For many years prior to writing Beyond Ever After, Jocelyn was a lawyer, working with divorcing couples, criminal defendants, and in general litigation. She also helped Kevin with his very successful legal mediation practice. Jocelyn is an avid reader, but never imagined being an author. With some surprise and apprehension as the selected messenger, she welcomes the reader into the story of her life just before and after Kevin’s death. Jocelyn recognizes the responsibility she has in sharing with others this story of love beyond ever after.

My Long Journey To Creating My Own Online Business
Thursday May 28, 2020
Thursday May 28, 2020
EP31: Going back to where it all started! Sharing with you the story of my career from being a college dropout, waiting tables to entering the corporate world and actually becoming a Vice President at America Online (AOL). It may sound enticing with the fancy title and attractive salary but I would always find myself comparing my achievement to others and feeling less than instead of realizing my infinite potential which I now know exists in every human being.
I thought that by sharing the looooong path I took to get to where I am today and the choices I made in my journey, I'd inspire some listeners who think they may be too old to start something new. It's my story of never giving up on finding work I'm passionate about - work that makes me truly happy at my core and gives me purpose I've never known in any other professional job I've had before.
Starting a business is not as hard as you may think, especially in this day and age. I am proof it is possible when you don't have a clue but have a passion.
If you are feeling stuck in a job where you are counting down the days to your retirement "escape," I hope you realize that that is not a way to live your life. Let my story give you hope that there IS something better for you out there. The fact you are unhappy is the universe trying to tell you to do something different.
Let this episode be yet another whisper from the universe (because there have likely been others that you've been ignoring if you're like the old me!) that will kickstart the beginning of a brand new life adventure!

How A Dying Pet Changed Its Owner‘s Future with Angie Sanders
Monday May 25, 2020

EP30: “Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened.” – Anatole France
Losing a pet is one of the most painful feelings a pet owner can experience. Some would even say it is even worse than losing a human.
For Wendy Van de Poll, losing her dog Marley to a tragic tumor was extremely difficult, but a life-changing one, in ways that are beyond normal logic.
Marley encouraged Wendy to follow her true calling -- pet hospice and animal mediumship. She then became a certified end-of-life and pet loss grief coach and opened Center for Pet Loss Grief which offers complete and intuitive heart based support for people who are either losing a pet, are dealing with the loss of a pet, and animal mediumship services for those that would like to know more about their pet in the afterlife.
In this episode, you gain a better understanding of how Wendy was led to her true calling and more about Wendy's gift. She offers a valid and beautiful experience that helps many people navigate through their sadness.

A Second Chance at Love, 27 Years Later
Thursday May 21, 2020
Thursday May 21, 2020
EP29: This is definitely my most personal and vulnerable episode! I share the story of how I met my husband in 1977, at age 18, (I think I misspoke and said 17 in error, during the episode!), how we reconnected in 2006, and finally tied the knot in 2009 - 32 years after we first met. As I listened back, there are things I left out that I wished I shared but I also know that it's long enough as is!!!
What I know is that some people who hear this episode will not agree with the decisions I made, but that's ok. I also know that some who hear it will be inspired to take positive action towards a more passion-filled life, whether that is addressing and fixing the problems in your current relationship OR discovering you are better off apart and choosing to explore love elsewhere.
I'm always looking for interesting guests so if you know of someone who has a great story of reconnecting with an old love, please have them contact me on one of my social media sites or via email at lauriewright@notyouraveragegrandma.com!
